GOD is not feeling to well!

By Larry John

Someone asked me the other day about one of my Larryisms and wanted me to clarify what I meant. The Larryism said, "God is NOT dead...but he isn't feeling too well." So here was my response.

Friedrich Nietzsche was a German philosopher of the late 19th century who said "God is Dead" meaning that most people had given up on their belief in God. The concept of a "bearded, old, controlling, man" God, ruling them from a place called Heaven was an outdated, superstitious, and ignorant belief to many people. Thus..."GOD IS DEAD." Well, frankly...a lot of people still believe in God out of fear, or out of teachings taught to them as children, or adults in crisis, and the "feelings" in their heart. So...."God is NOT dead." But the fact that most people don't buy into all the "oooga booga" and "rituals" of God anymore (and there are hundreds of God beliefs), and the fact that billions of people no longer even go to church... leads me to say..."but he isn't feeling too well. At least that's the way I see it." - Larry John
